Flavio Kenup

Flavio Kenup, a fourth degree black belt in Jiu Jitsu., has trained with Jiu Jitsu greats across the globe, including training in Brazil, New Zealand, Thailand, United Arab Emirates (UAE), and the U.S. Flavio began practicing BJJ in 1991 in the home of the sport in Teresópolis, Brazil. Flavio attended the Academy Serrana where he was mentored by Professor Cirillo Azevedo, a Coral belt. He earned his latest title from Professor Rodrigo Feijao and Professor Robson Moura.

Flavio has competed in international tournaments, earning major titles at the Grand Slam London, Abu Dhabi World Championship, Brazilian Championship, and many others. In Abu Dhabi, he worked alongside 300 other black belts, conducted a Team High Performance Training with the best students in the region. He also participated in breaking Guinness World Records in the sport instructing a group of students in the largest BJJ Class in the world.

In his nearly 30 years of training and teaching, Flavio and has gained valuable experience teaching in different cultural environments. Flavio makes sure his students are fully aware of how to properly assess their strengths in the sport to maximize their jiu jitsu game. He has a unique ability to connect with both adults and youth. Flavio came to the U.S. in 2008, leading classes in Florida, California, and Virginia in addition to conducting many seminars across the U.S.
